In this workshop we explore how you can find and manage scholarly information resources relevant for your PhD project at Vienna University and beyond. The focus will be on understanding academic information resources, on how to find them and on how to utilize them for your literature research.
PhD researchers will develop their information research skills and knowledge in order to search, find and manage academic information for their PhD projects more effectively and proficiently. They will have gained an insight into academic information resources relevant to their research topic and will have learnt and reflected on search and information management strategies in a process that will enhance their research competencies.
PhD researchers are asked to join the pre-workshop online communication on Moodle to establish what issues should be especially addressed in the workshop. The workshop itself is a mixture of teacher instruction, individual practice and the collaborative exploration of issues. PhD researchers from all disciplinary backgrounds are welcome.
A handout will be provided on Moodle.
